Chaos Theory Crew

Captain Geoff began fishing Lake Erie with his father, where he learned how to troll for walleye and steelhead at a very young age. This is where his passion for fishing began, and since then he has dedicated his life to fishing the Great Lakes, with nearly 30 years of experience targeting walleye, salmon, and steelhead. Spending between 100 and 200 days a year on the water with his boys, Geoff’s deep knowledge and passion for fishing shine through every trip. His engineering background brings a unique, systematic, and data-driven approach to sportfishing—evident in everything from the way the boat is rigged to the precision of his tactics.

His journey began with Wild Reels Sportfishing, a business he owned and operated for nearly 15 years. While he took a step back from the sportfishing business to focus on his career and growing family, he continued to fish for fun with his family, sharing his passion with his children. Their enthusiasm eventually inspired him to return to the industry and launch Chaos Theory Sportfishing, blending years of experience with a fresh perspective for a new chapter in their fishing legacy.

The crew wouldn’t be complete without Geoff’s sons, Owen and Bryce, who’ve been working the back of the boat since they could hold a rod. Over the years, the family has enjoyed participating in tournaments and derbies together, sharpening their skills as a team. Geoff also shares his expertise through fishing seminars across Southwestern Ontario, teaching others the tips and tactics that make Chaos Theory successful. Geoff takes pride in his ability to adapt to challenging conditions, always managing to track down the fish and deliver unforgettable catches. Nothing compares to the thrill of seeing clients hoist their trophies with excitement.

When he’s not on the water, Geoff dedicates his winter months to coaching kids’ hockey, cheering on his daughter with his wife at gymnastics competitions, and supporting his sons at the rink. Fishing is a family affair at Chaos Theory—Owen, the eldest, is already a seasoned first mate, with a record that includes derby wins, cash prizes, and top tournament placements. He loves working alongside his dad, even sharing a trick or two to keep the fish coming. Bryce, the youngest, is well on his way to joining the crew full-time, following in his family’s footsteps with passion and enthusiasm.

At Chaos Theory Sportfishing, every trip is fueled by a shared love of fishing, a commitment to excellence, and the joy of creating memories that last a lifetime.
